ANTIBACTERIAL TEST OF Basil (Ocimum sanctum) LEAF EXTRACT AND FRACTION ON Escherichia coli BACTERIA GROWTH
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak dan fraksi daun kemangi dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli dan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi yang terbaik dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli.
Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan lima pengulangan berdasarkan masing-masing kelompok perlakuan ekstrak dan fraksi yaitu: konsentrasi 25%, konsentrasi 50% dan konsentrasi 75%.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari masing-masing konsentrasi yang digunakan dari kelompok ekstrak dan fraksi didapatkan bahwa konsentrasi terbesar dalam menghambat bakteri Eschericia coli pada konsentrasi 75% kelompok ekstrak. Analisa data secara statistik menggunakan Metode Kruskal Wallis terdapat perbedaan nilai yang signifikan antara ekstrak dan fraksi sehingga dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan uji Post Huc Duncan.
